ABOUT US
MTRE is a specialist alternative capital market consultancy focusing on the bed-space and long-income markets. The company was formed in September 2018 and is the first niche practice to enter this dynamic and rapidly evolving sector. Founded by Michael Toone who previously founded Tudor Toone, one of the foremost boutique investment agency practices in the UK over the last 20 years. Due to a growing demand from key clients and a concentration of work within the alternative sector, there was a clear demand from clients for a different consultancy offer to the larger surveying practices. MTRE was formed to meet this demand and commenced trading in September 2018 specialising in funding structures, asset sales and sales of corporate entities.

Michael is the founder of MTRE with over 30 years of experience in the capital market and funding arena. Over the last 10 years he has predominantly concentrated on development funding structures involving residential, commercial and PBSA accommodation together with mixed use developments predominantly acting for developers.
Hugo is a chartered surveyor and joined MTRE in 2018. He has advised on numerous disposals and acquisitions of stabilised assets, alongside the structuring of joint ventures and forward fundings of development projects across the UK for the likes of Apache Capital, McLaren Property, GSA and Cubex.
George is a Reading University Graduate who has an MSc in Real Estate Development from the University of Westminster. He joined MTRE from a National Disciplinary Agency to assist with acquisitions, disposals and fundings across the alternative and long
income sectors.
